Summary:
Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, provides comprehensive, customizable fleet management solutions for large-scale public and private vehicle fleets.
We are looking to hire a skilled Trailer Technician at our Wilton, NY location.
The technician will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of trailers including:
PMs, body work, air brakes, wheel ends, and DOT inspections.
Compensation:
Competitive Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! Shift:
Tuesday - Saturday, 2:

Responsibilities:
Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computerPerform repairs and preventative maintenance to trailersPerform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation requiredComply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/proceduresInspect and perform work on the under parts of vehiclesAccess any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenanceRemove or install various parts on vehiclesInteract with clients through both email or phone as necessaryPerform other duties as requiredKey Competencies and Minimum Education:

years experience performing trailer repairsExperience with air brakes, DOT inspections and wheel endsMust provide own hand toolsBasic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.
)Proficient computer skills:
knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and EmailWorking Conditions:
Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.
